MICHAEL SHOWALTER (“Ben”- Episode 1: OFF-LEASH HOURS) – Michael was a founding member of the sketch comedy troupe, THE STATE, which ran for three seasons on MTV, and co-wrote, co-produced and starred in the cult comedy WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER. Michael teaches screenwriting at NYU Graduate Film School and his comedic memoir, MR. FUNNY PANTS, hit shelves in February of last year. He recently wrapped THEY CAME TOGETHER, a film he co-wrote with David Wain that features Paul Rudd, Michael Shannon and Amy Poehler.
AMY SEDARIS (“Kate” – Episode 4: FAMILY) Amy has appeared often on screen, both large and small. She’s co-creator, with Stephen Colbert and Paul Dinello, of Comedy Central’s hit show STRANGERS WITH CANDY and half of the Obie-winning “Talent Family” playwright team (with her brother, David). She is the author of the bestselling I LIKE YOU: HOSPITALITY UNDER THE INFLUENCE as well as SIMPLE TIMES: CRAFTS FOR POOR PEOPLE.
GABY HOFFMANN (“Devon” – Episode 5: STRAIGHT TALK) – Gaby’s first film role was as young “Maisy Russell” in 1988′s UNCLE BUCK. Gaby has had well-received supporting roles in both film and television, including THE MAN WITHOUT A FACE, THIS IS MY LIFE, FIELD OF DREAMS, Nora Ephron’s SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE, Todd Solondz’s LIFE DURING WARTIME, LAW AND ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT, THE GOOD WIFE, HOMELAND and LOUIE.
ASHLIE ATKINSON (“Alex” – Episode 2: TWEENER and Episode 7: GOWANUS) – Ashlie is an award-winning theatre, film and television actress. She has appeared in RESCUE ME, 3LBS, Spike Lee’s INSIDE MAN, ANOTHER GAY MOVIE, SEX AND THE CITY MOVIE, MARGOT AT THE WEDDING, LAW & ORDER, LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT, PUCCINI FOR BEGINNERS, FILTHY GORGEOUS and the Sundance hit MY BEST DAY. She recently wrapped Soderbergh’s THE BITTER PILL and Scorsese’s THE WOLF OF WALL STREET.
ANN CARR (“Ann” – Episode 3: INTERCHANGEABLE) – Ann recently guest-starred on LOUIE. Her solo show USE IT was nominated for a 2009 ECNY award for “best one-person show” and ran for nearly a year to sold out audiences on the UCB NY and LA stages. She also starred in The Comedy Central web series HONESTY, which was nominated for an Emmy and won the 2007 Webby Award. Her solo-character show THERE IS ONLY ONE YOU was also nominated for a 2008 ECNY Award. Ann currently spends most of her time writing and producing her web series THE ACTRESS.
STEWART THORNDIKE (“Dr. Thorndike” – Episode 6: GYNO) - Stewart is a film director and screenwriter from Tacoma, WA. She is an alumnae of NYU Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Film Program, where she was a Tisch Fellow and winner of the Fusion Festival Screenwriting Competition for her feature film, TURNING. Stewart has a background in fine arts and dance. She is currently working on two horror feature screenplays: LYLE and THERE’S SOMETHING IN THE PARK.
ISAIAH STOKES (“Alan” – Episode 1: OFF-LEASH HOURS) – Isaiah is an actor and musician who produces original music under his record company Fonty Records, where he recently Isaiah completed a mixtape entitled, “The Best of Isaiah Vol. 1,” hosted by G Unit’s own DJ Whoo Kid. Isaiah is also featured in season 2 of HBO’s BOARDWALK EMPIRE and has principal roles in LAW & ORDER: SVU, LOUIE and RESCUE ME.
BRANDI RYANS (“Lila” – Episode 5: STRAIGHT TALK) - Brandi sailed the seven seas of acting and music for many years before settling on a more grounded creative outlet of holistic healing and massage therapy.
MICHAEL HALL (“City Worker” – Episode 5: STRAIGHT TALK) - Michael is a NYC-based stand-up comedian and studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
CASEY LEGLER (“Simone” – Episode 7: GOWANUS) – Casey is a NYC-based artist, former Olympic swimmer and the only woman to be under contract as a male model at Ford.
MARK SULLIVAN (“James” – Episode 7: GOWANUS) – Mark Sullivan is a NYC-based actor and writer who has performed most recently in MS. EDUCATION (pilot for ABC Family) and currently is developing several short films.
HYE MEE NA (“Mel” – Episode 2: TWEENER) – Hye Mee Na was born in South Korea and moved to America when she was 15. She was a neuroscience research specialist for seven years before enrolling in NYU’s Graduate Film program. She is interested in issues relating to identity formation and how it influences the interaction between people in her films.
DR. ELIZABETH GIFFORD (“Nurse Evelyn” - Episode 6: GYNO) - Dr. Elizabeth Gifford is a family practice doctor who works proudly and patiently will all of the different characters that are housed within Park Slope, Brooklyn. She appeared as a medical expert on JUDGE JOHN HODGMAN – Episode 82: “The Right Not to Bare Arms.”
KATHLEEN WISE (“Liz” – Episode 4: FAMILY) - Kathleen has worked on many independent film projects, including PALIMPSEST, selected for 2013′s Sundance Film Festival, as well as the webseries FIRST WORLD PROBLEM and MAMMAL DRAMA.
RJ FOSTER (“Bar Patron” – Episode 5: STRAIGHT TALK) - RJ’s film/television credits include GUIDING LIGHT, FRINGE, DAMAGES, BLUE BLOODS, MADE IN JERSEY and the independent film, CHOICE.
